VICTORY CAMP UPDATE

Phase I is complete with the purchase of 33 beautiful wooded acres for GRCM headquarters, camp and training facilities.

Phase II began January, 2011 with preparation for
Victory Camp Colmesneil scheduled for July 9, 16, 23 and 30.
 
A giant air-conditioned tent, fishing piers, a round pen for
horse-back riding, swimming pool are a few of the things
under construction to make our camp days unforgettable.

There are times in life when stepping out in Faith is a requirement.  Waiting on God’s timing is so important, but the day comes when He says, “Go”.

Gloria Russell Children’s Ministry has been given the “Signal to Go” in 2011. 

For the first time in 23 years, Victory Camp will not be held the first week in July.  Instead, children, teens and adults can sign up for one of the four Saturdays we will be open for Victory Camp…July 9, 16, 23 and 30.

We are starting “VICTORY CAMP COLMESNEIL” on the 33 acres of land God provided in Colmesneil, Texas.  If you have ever been to Victory Camp, expect the BEST DAY of Victory Camp you ever experienced, beginning at 8 a.m. in the morning for registration and ending with a fireworks display at 9 p.m.  The total cost for the day of Victory Camp is $35.  This includes a camp shirt, two meals and your craft project to take home. 

If you are interested, bring a little spending money for the snack bar and gift shop where you can purchase drinks, chips, candy, etc., staff camp shirts, dog tags, victory camp videos and other gifts.

As usual, Chapel services with Aunt Gloria, Mrs. Kelli, the Ricky Davis Band and Homeland Teens will be held 2 times each day.  Activities like crafts, swimming, fishing, horseback riding, the candle lighting ceremony, etc.  will bring in all the best of the past plus new activities for the future.

Sign up early for the day/days you would like to be a camper (grades 2-6), trainee (grades 7-8) counselor or recreation team (9th – adult).  Call (409) 837-9990 for more information. 

The very good news about this immediate change is the opportunity for more people than ever before to have the “Victory Camp experience” which means more opportunities for salvation and Christian growth.  The good news for the future is we will be on our own property watching Victory Camp Colmesneil grow into a full time camp facility.  Keep watching and praying!
